Todd and Suzie met across (or
rather over) a crowded dance floor at a local swing dance six years
ago and have been dancing together ever since. They presently live
in Point Richmond, California.
Suzie Hardt has been dancing and performing
competitive ballroom dance and Latin
American dancing for 18 years, competing in Boston, Houston, Los
Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and London. She has choreographed a
number of modern, tango, and ballroom pieces for the stage including
waltzes, foxtrot, mambo, salsa, swing, rumba, cha cha, and Argentine
Tango. She danced and performed with the salsa troupe, Tribu Nueva
for 2 years and appeared as a featured dancer in the film “Swing”
starring Jaquline Bisset. Suzie owns and operates Marin
Ballroom Dance Theater (Suzie’s Studio), a dance studio in San
Rafael.
Todd Marsden has been performing and competing in
ballroom and Latin American dance for 6 years. Prior to dancing
ballroom, he was a swing dancer, and danced Lindy Hop regularly
around the Bay Area for many years as well as in Herrang, Sweden. He
was a dancer in the PBS swing documentary, “Big Band Magic”.
He also performs as a singer and has sung with the San Francisco
Bach Choir and the Broadway Singers. He leads a singing group, for
which he also plays the guitar.
